Shaping the Schools of the Future

Coronado Education System in partnership with Acer PH and with its program Acer Academy equips our school community through the use of technology in the New Normal of Education. 

Acer’s mission is to provide the education environment the digital framework that will enable a new way of interaction within the academic situation and that is the primary reason why we created a new program fit for Education – the Acer Academy.

The purchase of gadgets and devices will be left to the discretion of parents and guardians.
Each school, however, we recommend the technical specifications for such gadgets and devices.

Operating System : Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, 10 and 11
Processor : Intel® Celeron™ i3
Memory : 8 GB of RAM
Storage : 500GB of Storage for HDD, SSD not required
Graphics Card : Dedicated Graphics Card (Nvidia or Radeon) with atleast 1GB of Memory

Note : No brand requirement but the model should be of the last 3 years.

Study Area : Students are advised to put up a STUDY AREA that is conducive for learning.

This varies across grade levels. Some physical books and supplies will still be required for online learning.
In addition, new learning materials, carefully curated from the internet and/or created by teachers, will also be provided through our online platforms.

Hardbound Books
Learners from Preschool to Grade 3 are still required to have books to keep track of the students’ learning activities

Official School Notebooks

Learners are still required to have official notebooks in order for them to practice with their handwriting - Inclusive in school's miscellaneous fee

Availability of E-Books
As we improve our digital services, Learners from Grade 4 to Senior High are given the option to avail of the e-books which will be embedded in their V-Smart School Account. 

The school has an IT Services office that is able to assist parents with their technical concerns on the following concerns:
a. Virtual Learning Enviroment
b. Learning Management System
c. Computer / Software Trouble Shooting.

In addition, Help Desks are currently being put in place to provide assistance to students and parents.

PHYSICAL SPACE


To create a classroom like environment conducive to learning, you must first focus on the physical space.

HAVING THE RIGHT TOOLS

Work tables or proper computer tables are advised to provide the student a proper platform to which they will set up their learning area.

HAVE A RELIABLE INTERNET CONNECTION

Connectivity is essential for distancing learning, we advise that students should have a connection of at least 5 mbps.

CLIMATE


Establishing a classroom like facility a learner's learning area should be well ventilated.
